Our friends and I decided to meet up one Sunday to have lunch together at a new Japanese restaurant located at Ecoland just beside SM City Davao.
Takoyaki is a ball-shaped Japanese snack made out of vegetables, sometimes diced octopus (common in Japan) inside a ball of battered flour mixture. In the Philippines, what is commonly the ingredients of Takoyaki is that it is full of vegetables since Octopus is not the common in the country. This type of snack can be found inside the malls around the supermarket area, or outdoors like near schools, offices, etc. This Japanese delight given a Filipino twist is indeed quite popular.
Xin Chao! (hey there!)
Vietnam is a country that has always been on my bucket list. Unfortunately, I have not yet found the time to visit this small yet culture-rich country because of me and my husband’s busy schedule at work.
When my mother and sister visited Davao three weeks ago, I asked them where they wanted to eat on the last day of their visit. My mother immediately said “PENONGS!”. It has been a while since they ate at Penongs so why not eat at Davao’s best tasting BARBESTCUE, right?
