PENONGS BARBESTCUE | CERTIFIED DAVAO FAVORITE

PENONGS BARBESTCUE

When my mother and sister visited Davao three weeks ago, I asked them where they wanted to eat on the last day of their visit. My mother immediately said “PENONGS!”. It has been a while since they ate at Penongs so why not eat at Davao’s best tasting BARBESTCUE, right?

This is my all time favorite at Penongs. The Tiyan ng Baboy is thinly cut but not to the point that you don’t devour enough meat. For me, it is the perfect cut and combination of both meat and fat of the pork. Because hey let’s face it, well all love a little bit of pork fat right?

Inato 2 (I2) This consists of Chicken Barbecue (either Paa or Pecho), rice (unlimited refills) and Atsara. This is Mrs. A’s order and she prefers Paa over Pecho even though Pecho has more chicken meat. But what she likes about Paa is that the meat is more flavorful for her because the meat is quite thinner in cut compared to the chicken meat content of the Pecho. The paa has more flavor compared to that of Pecho’s.

Favorite Dessert at Penongs: Fresh Fruit. The perfect healthy fruit combo of banana + watermelon + papaya + ripe mango topped with delicious frozen cream. Mrs. A loves this dessert. Gone in 60 seconds.

I love how generous Penongs is with the cream content of their dessert. They put just the right amount of cream to pretty much add sweetness to the fruit combination.

Whenever I have friends from out of town, I bring them to Penongs (except for Cebu and other nearby cities in Davao since they have Penongs there too.). I want to let them experience Penongs’ Barbestcue, truly a Davao Favorite. Don’t you agree?

Head on down to the nearest Penongs in your area and grab a bit of their BARBESTCUE now with your family.
