10th year of DAVAO FOOD APPRECIATION TOUR.`

That weekend came by so fast and we miss it already.

Last March 24 – 26, 2017, the Davao Bloggers Society, in partnership with Smart Communications Inc., hosted its 10th DFAT (Davao Food Appreciation Tour). Bloggers and Vloggers all the way from Manila, Cebu and Soccsksargen Region visited the city for this exciting food and fun-filled event. For three days, the participants visited at least 2 restaurants or cafes per day and had a taste of each of the restaurants’ specialties. The places where they visited were Annipie, Coffee Grounds and Lachi’s on Friday, Saging Repablik and Yellow Fin on Saturday, and Yolk’s Flower Cafe + Cupcakery and The Griddle on Sunday.

This was actually our first time to participate in DFAT since we were unable to do so last year. However, for this year’s DFAT, we only signed up for the events on Friday night and Sunday afternoon since I had work Friday Morning and we attended church on Sunday Morning. It was also a good thing that we were able to sign up the last minute for Saturday night’s dinner since we had no more errands during that day. We initially did not sign up on Saturday because we thought we won’t finish our personal errands on time.

Brace yourselves for some photos during the three-day food fest

YELLOW FIN SEAFOOD RESTAURANT (2nd night)

Forgive me if I couldn’t exactly remember the names of the food that we ate that night. But everything was really good.

Yellow Fin Seafood Restaurant has been a known go-to restaurant for seafood lovers in Davao City. Locals also bring their out of town visitors there to get a taste of Davao cooked seafood.

THE GRIDDLE (3rd day & last stop)

The Griddle is one of Davao’s newest Burger and Sandwich shops. It’s a humble joint but the food they serve leaves a huge impact that keeps Davaoeños coming back for more. Aside from burgers and sandwiches, they serve potato balls and milkshakes as well.

(talk about FOOD COMA)

That was one of the most unforgettable weekends of my 2017. BURPFEST!

It’s a practice of most (especially BLOGGERS) to upload food photos on their social media accounts. I just have to say that I personally am so impressed with my SMART GIGASURF 50 subscription. My fellow blogger friends feel the same way. Their uploading streaks never slowed down not even a second! Uploading photos and doing a Facebook Live was easy breezy. Plus, my Facebook Live during the Lachi’s dinner was uninterrupted. Can I just say that I am indeed blessed to be living in Davao City where SMART internet is so fast? Yes, it is. And soon, it’s going to be like that around the Philippines. I can’t wait to experience that during my next local travels and food trip adventures. Thank you SMART for letting us share our foodtrip experiences faster #LikeNeverBefore #ConnectedDavao
